Researcher's Projects
Yuichi Asai is engaging in ethnographic research which reveals how human sociocultural space-time is created through speech event and language use from linguistic and semiotic anthropological perspectives. His main research derives from fieldwork conducted in the Fiji Islands, Melanesia, and examines the characteristics of Fijian chief installation ritual and mythical cosmology, through linguistic analysis of Fijian language.
